Our Work in Ukraine
“Save a Pill, Save a Life” on the Front Lines of War
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the James Hollister Wellness Foundation has worked tirelessly to deliver medical aid directly to those caught in the conflict—often just miles from the front lines. With the help of our trusted partners on the ground, including Via Vitae and Spartan Medical, we’ve provided supplies that have saved lives under fire, in trenches, and in field hospitals.
We are proud to stand with the Ukrainian people in their fight for survival, and we remain committed to supporting both military medics and civilian healthcare providers.
Delivering Medicine to the Front
From the earliest days of the war, we’ve shipped vital supplies including:
Antibiotics and wound dressings
Thermal blankets and trauma kits
Vitamins and chronic illness medications
Emergency gear and frontline medical packs
Through our partners at Via Vitae, these supplies have made it directly into the hands of soldiers and medics working in some of the most volatile and dangerous areas—including Bachmut, Druzhkivka, and Kostyantynivka.
In one powerful moment captured on video, Ukrainian soldiers in Bachmut received our supplies and explained how they were used to save the lives of wounded comrades under direct fire.
Thermal Blankets That Save Lives
Winters in Ukraine are brutal—and for soldiers in trenches or patients awaiting evacuation, hypothermia can be as deadly as any injury. That’s why we prioritized the delivery of high-quality thermal blankets, which were praised by military doctors for being thicker, more durable, and far more effective than standard-issue foil.
“We used one of your blankets on a soldier with two broken legs. He was freezing, losing consciousness, and bleeding. The blanket helped us stabilize him—and save him.”
These blankets are now used before, during, and after surgery, and in battlefield evacuations where mobility, temperature, and blood loss all pose life-threatening risks.
Supporting Field Hospitals & Frontline Medics
In cities like Kostyantynivka, we’ve supported local hospitals just miles from active conflict zones. Video messages from military doctors show them unpacking our supplies and expressing deep gratitude for everything—from blankets to bandages—that helps them do their jobs under unimaginable pressure.
We’ve also supported mobile military medical units who treat injuries in real time during combat. Your donations have reached soldiers in trenches, medics hiding under tanks with wounded fighters, and hospitals under strain.
